NIA - Kindergarten through 5th Grade

NIA Community Service Network's mission, to strengthen and empower children, families, and communities through comprehensive programming and vital human services, is evidenced through our vital work that directly supports and enriches the lives of so many each day. NIA has developed important partnerships and programs that are designed to help improve the quality of life for all youth, families, and seniors.

Each year, we serve over 10,000 children and their families through after-school programs, two Beacon Community Centers, summer day camps, cultural arts programming, youth and family counseling services, parent education workshops, community assistance, and events, and referral services. We also serve thousands of senior citizens through our senior picnics, senior proms, health and nutrition initiatives, and support programs.

Trail Blazers - 3K through PreK

At Trail Blazers camps, we believe that the skills and values that matter most are best developed through outdoor experiences, and we believe that being in small groups and being deeply involved in your own experience is the best way to learn and grow. Our NYC-based programs take young people into parks, playgrounds, and community gardens, teaching them that the environment is everywhere and we all live under one sky.

We focus on the Trail Blazers’ four overarching values, showing care and respect for ourselves, showing care and respect for others, showing care and respect for our community, and showing care and respect for our environment!
